This Cookie Policy addresses Article 22.2 of Spanish Law 34/2002 of 11 July on Information Society Services and Electronic Commerce (LSSI), together with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR), Organic Law 3/2018 on Personal Data Protection and the Guarantee of Digital Rights (LOPDGDD), and the European Data Protection Board's Guidelines 05/2020 on consent.
It applies to www.crossbcn.com, operated by Soluciones Técnicas en Decoración, S.L., NIF B65770554, under the trading name CrossBCN.
1. Definition and purpose of cookies
Cookies and similar technologies store information on a user's device or retrieve information already stored there. They are generally associated with a browser or device. Depending on what they contain and how they are used, they may also involve the processing of personal data.
The main categories, grouped by purpose, include:
- Technical cookies: enable navigation and website functions, such as managing traffic and communications, identifying a session, accessing restricted areas, remembering shopping-basket items, completing purchases or registration requests, applying security measures, or storing and sharing content. Where strictly necessary to provide a service requested by the user, they may be exempt from the consent requirement.
- Analytics or measurement cookies: count users and measure how a website or application is used. They can help identify popular pages and navigation patterns so that the service can be improved.
First-party cookies are created or managed by the website operator. Third-party cookies are managed by other providers, such as technical-service, analytics, social-media, personalisation or advertising providers, including behavioural-advertising providers.
2. Cookies used
The current CrossBCN website uses one first-party cookie to remember your cookie choice. It does not use optional analytics or advertising cookies, or visitor identifiers in local or session storage. Its galleries, filters and animations work without persistent browser storage. The cookie crossbcn-cookie-choice stores only your accepted or rejected choice and the settings version for 12 months. It is used solely to remember your preference, is not sent to a third-party provider, and does not identify you for tracking.
Analytics cookies
Analytics cookies normally collect information about use of a website, such as visitor numbers and the most frequently visited pages, to help improve it. CrossBCN does not currently use Google Analytics or another analytics service, so no analytics-cookie data is sent to Google from this site.
Google Fonts is used to display typefaces. Font delivery involves network requests and the disclosure of technical connection information, rather than an analytics integration. This is explained in the Privacy Policy.
Social-media and blog cookies
Social platforms may use technical cookies to provide access to content, analytics cookies to measure use, and advertising cookies to personalise advertisements. The platform controls these cookies; the Company does not.
CrossBCN does not currently embed social-media content or blog features that install these cookies. If you follow a link to a third-party website, its own cookie policy and choices apply. The contact map is a locally hosted image; Google Maps opens only when you follow its link.
Rejecting or removing third-party cookies does not prevent ordinary navigation of CrossBCN, although it may affect functionality on the external service you choose to visit.
3. Managing cookies
Where cookies require consent, users must be informed before they are activated and be able to accept, reject or manage them. Consent must also be capable of being withdrawn.
The cookie banner offers equally visible Accept and Reject buttons. Both choices save your preference and leave the website fully available. Because no optional services are currently installed, accepting does not activate tracking. Use Cookie settings in any page footer to reopen the banner and change your choice. Deleting the preference cookie or its expiry will make the banner appear again. If optional services are introduced, this policy and the controls will be updated and a new choice requested before those services are activated; an earlier acceptance will not authorise new purposes.
This website includes links to third-party websites whose privacy and cookie policies are independent of the Company. When visiting them, you can review those policies and make your choices through their controls.
3.1. Disabling or deleting cookies
You can use your browser's privacy settings to review stored site data, block cookies or delete them. These options are usually available under Settings or Preferences, in the Privacy or Site Data section. Removing or blocking cookies may sign you out or reset preferences on other websites.
Desktop browsers
- Chrome: open Settings, then Privacy and security, and review the cookie and site-data controls.
- Firefox: open Settings, then Privacy & Security, and use Cookies and Site Data.
- Safari: open Settings or Preferences, then Privacy, and manage website data.
- Microsoft Edge: open Settings and use the privacy or cookies/site-permissions settings to manage saved site data.
- Opera: open Settings and use the Privacy and security controls for cookies and site data.
Menu names can vary by browser version. Your browser's help menu provides instructions for its current version.
Mobile devices
- iPhone or iPad: use the Safari settings on the device to clear browsing history and website data or manage privacy preferences.
- Android: open your browser's settings and use its privacy or site-settings controls to review or delete browsing data.
- Other devices: consult the privacy and cookie settings of the browser you use.
No Google Analytics opt-out add-on is needed for CrossBCN because Google Analytics is not installed on this website.
4. International transfers
The Company does not transfer data internationally through first-party cookies on this website, because the preference cookie only records your choice for this website.
External services may process information in other countries. The existing Google Fonts connections and the relevant privacy information are described in our Privacy Policy. You can also consult Google's Privacy Policy.
5. Automated decisions
This website does not use cookies to create profiles for automated decisions that produce legal or similarly significant effects on users.
6. Retention period
The preference cookie expires 12 months after you save a choice. You can change that choice using Cookie settings, or delete the cookie through your browser. If browser storage is blocked, your choice may not persist and the banner may reappear. Any additional cookies introduced in the future will have their duration and purpose stated in this policy. Any associated personal information will be retained only for the relevant purpose and any applicable legal retention period, then erased when it is no longer required.
7. Further information
For further information about the processing of personal information, see our Privacy Policy. If you have a question, comment or suggestion about this Cookie Policy, please email info@crossbcn.com.
